Cake, outfits, backdrop and props included!
All cake smashes come with a 5 inch vanilla cake, the photographers time and talent as well as a set amount of digital photos. Once the cake smash is completed I edit the best ones and give them to you digitally in a gallery which I sent through “Pic-Time”.
The process for cake smashes is streamlined and simple: Book your session, send your deposit, and then I will email you to discuss your theme. Once you Pick your backdrop(s) I will order a cake to match and all you have to do is show up with your little love!
Cake smash sessions start with a short sitter session where we take portraits of your little love before bringing out the cake. There is a wardrobe (sizes range from 12-18 months) therefore you can choose to use an outfit from it or bring your own outfit, or both.
I don’t do cake smashes in the evenings as 1 year old babies are unlikely to be happy and cooperate during this time!
It is good to book your smash in advance, and to do the session 2-4 weeks before your child’s birthday. My turn around time for photos is 1-2 weeks.
Package pricing:
Smash and splash $400+GST: This package includes a mini sitter session at the beginning of the shoot, a 5 inch cake, 2 outfit changes, 2 backdrops (one for the cake smash and another for the bath), a 10-20 minute bath in our tiny tub, access to props and all backdrops plus 40-50 edited digital photos. This session usually takes anywhere from 1-1.5 hours depending on the baby and how long it takes them to settle into the session. Choose 2 backdrops from the available themes/backdrops and I will provide a cake with icing to match.
The perfect cake smash $375+GST: This one is just right and includes a mini sitter session at the beginning of the shoot, a 5 inch cake, 2 outfit changes, 1 backdrop, access to props and all backdrops and 25-35 digital photos. This session usually takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the baby and how long it takes them to settle into the session. Choose one backdrop from the available themes/backdrops and I will provide a cake with icing to match.
Add ons and other options:
Add sibling and parent photos $75: Parents can hop in at the beginning of the smash for a quick photo no extra charge. If siblings are attending and you would like family photos (full family, parents and baby, siblings and baby) this would be considered family photos. This adds about 10 photos to your gallery.

A few important notes:
Cakes are vanilla flavoured, I can ask the bakery to customize the icing colour but white usually goes with every backdrop as well.
Please bring your own cake if your child has allergies.
Let me know if your child does have allergies or any other condition you think I should know of before our session.
All sessions come with a 5 inch vanilla cake from a local bakery.
Delicious soft and easy to smash! If your baby has not had sweets prior to the session they are unlikely to eat the cake so it is good to practice before!
A non-refundable $50 deposit is required when you book your session. The remaining balance is due the day of the shoot. Editing and delivery takes approximately 1-2 weeks.
